Marilyn Wolfe

Donor Wolfe "The Garden is beautiful, fabulous—it was calling to me!" A first Luminaria visit persuaded Marilyn Wolfe and her husband to become Garden members. That led to volunteering, allowing Marilyn to learn amazing things about the desert and make bright and interesting new friends. "I am very happy here!" comments Marilyn.

Today, she is at the Garden three to four days a week. Marilyn shares with visitors the many benefits of becoming Garden members as an Envoy. She often monitors the visitors and butterfly residents in the Marshall Butterfly Pavilion. Marilyn also assists with Music in the Garden concerts, takes leadership responsibilities with Volunteers in the Garden, and participated in the Garden's strategic planning. Her latest passion is working on the steering committee developing the DBG Community Garden.

"I enjoy volunteering where there is such beauty and where one is continually appreciated by the staff." How could we not appreciate Marilyn? She's full of positive energy and always enthusiastic about the tasks she undertakes on the Garden’s behalf.

When revising her estate plan, Marilyn decided, "I should be giving to the Garden as a way to support preservation of a very precious resource—the desert. It's a way for me to continue my volunteer efforts here." Her Individual Retirement Account has named the Garden as a beneficiary. She is also a member of Sonoran Circle legacy society where her plans will positively impact the Garden well into the future.
