Jeff and Lexine Hebets

Jeff Hebets embodies the spirit of philanthropy. Jeff credits this philosophy to his parents, Mel and Peggy Hebets, who were "exceptional at giving their time and energy to social programs."

Jeff and Lexine have enjoyed visiting and serving the Garden since 1987. Jeff has been a long-time desert enthusiast and particularly appreciates the Garden's efforts to teach the community about the Sonoran Desert and the Garden's conservation of the cactus family—the planet's fifth most threatened species. Jeff has served on the Board of Trustees and the education advisory committee, in addition to lending his talent in metal work to Garden projects.

Jeff and Lexine decided to include a gift to the Garden in their estate plan to continue the spirit of philanthropy that Jeff's parents inspired in him. Jeff and Lexine wish that their deferred gift and service to the Garden continues to benefit future generations of Garden visitors, inspiring them to learn about the beauty of the desert—and care about protecting it.
