Sonoran Circle Members and Garden Volunteer (Janet)
Janet became a volunteer in the Garden in 2005 as an instructor aide. From that first moment, she has served the Garden with much gusto, contributing 800+ annual hours in recent years as a docent, guest guide, membership envoy and instructor aide.
She said, "Walt always knows where he can find me," referring to the many hours she spends here at the Garden. When asked what she loves most about the Garden, Janet expressed her fondness for the friendships she's gained over the years, the beauty and tranquility of the Garden and the opportunity to meet new visitors—from locals to international guests. She also enjoys seeing the Garden thoughtfully progress, noting the significant improvements since she first started volunteering.
Janet and Walt included a gift to the Garden in their estate plan to help the Garden continue to evolve, so that future generations can continue to enjoy and love this beautiful place.
